Princess Girl Day

The other day Cambrie and I had a fabulous girls day.
Plus we got to share the day with good friends; Jenne and Shayla.
We went to the long awaited for Princess Festival!
It was a crazy day to be going to an outdoor event.  The wind was blowing sooo hard.  Reports of wind gusts were up to 40 mph and there was chances of rain.  We almost thought twice about going.  But I knew that would have crushed a special little girls heart.  Cambrie has waited all year to go to the Festival again.  And it didn't disappoint either.  We started out a little rocky, a little unsure of the characters.  Made one Mommy a little concerned.  But after all the "bad" girls had turned good, everything was just fine.
The wicked step-sisters.  The don't do normal faces.  They asked what Cambrie and Shayla's favorite silly face was-and they all did it!  Picture is after they decided being nice was better.
A couple of my favorites:
Cambrie talking to Cinderella.  Telling her all about her beautiful dress that has sparkly sleeves.  Its special because her Nana makes them for her.  For her birthday even.
Flying with Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinkerbell to Neverland.  Tink sprinkled pixie dust on their heads and had them think happy thoughts.  Then they "flew" on a trampoline to Neverland where they played Tinkerbell says.
Learning what a true Princess really is.  Being kind, clean, brave, giving service, loving others.
Making a wish at her tea party.  The concentration on her face.  Delightful.
Seeing if she "measured" up to be a true princess.  The prince measured Cambrie's smile, because a true princess has a big beautiful smile, a big loving heart, her arms for muscles, and her feet, because all princess have to be able to fit into the beautiful lost shoe.
It really is a treat to be able to spend a day with Cambrie in her little world.  I loved every minute of it!

Maybe not the one tiny moment where she was scared, wanted only to be held, and never ever wanted to come back.  So glad that moment didn't last!

That is the cutest thing! I've never heard of a princess festival; I'm sure she had a blast! (What a cutie).
