{Field Trip Friday} #2

Here we are Field Trip Friday!  My goal is to go and do things that are different than our norm.  Go places that are close by that we haven't visited before.  So today we went to the Air Force Museum.  I remember going when I was about 12 and my dad looking at things FOREVER, and I got so bored.  So I was hoping that this would be fun.  I just knew that the kids got excited to see the planes every time we drove past.
Well, they had a great time!  They called this plane "The Pinocchio" because of the nose of the plane.  It is amazing to see how big these planes are and to think, they actually stay up in the air! We stayed longer than I thought we would and they would have stayed longer if the kids exploring area didn't close for lunch.

The kids liked seeing the old uniforms and the boys loved seeing the jets and the missiles.  An extra perk was stumbling upon a retirement party.  The man retiring talked with us and gave everyone a chocolate shaped in the Air force symbol.  We saw lots of men and women dressed in their blues and the boys thought that was pretty cool.
