Cambrie is an awesome student. She is very motivated, a true self starter. Today while working on her homework she sat right down and went for it. Homework is definitely different this year. Other than English as a subject, it's all in Spanish. So she looked at it, read it, and went to town drawing little pictures of the story it told. Then she turned it over to do the other side...and started cutting like the instructions said.
Whoops. The water works started as soon as she realized it cut her pictures right in half. I had to laugh and take a picture. She was so frustrated, and I truly felt her pain, but the humor wasn't lost on me either. We learned we need to look at both sides of homework before starting. She came up with a great solution to tape it back together and all was well again. Almost.
